Comparación de biomarcadores miR-21, ctDNA y mamoglobina para el diagnóstico temprano del cáncer de mama

La investigación analiza tres biomarcadores emergentes (miR-21, ctDNA y mamoglobina) en comparación con marcadores convencionales (CA 15-3, CEA y HER2) para el diagnóstico del cáncer de mama. Los biomarcadores emergentes muestran características prometedoras para la detección temprana y el seguimiento de la enfermedad. miR-21 destaca por su alta sensibilidad (83%) y especificidad (85%), siendo mínimamente invasivo y económico. Sin embargo, su especificidad puede verse afectada por otras patologías. La siguiente revisión sistemática sin análisis estadístico resume las ventajas y desventajas de los marcadores emergentes publicadas en 2018-2024. Hablaremos de los marcadores convencionales (CA 15-3, CEA y HER2) que son más efectivos en el monitoreo de la enfermedad avanzada y la respuesta al tratamiento, así como los biomarcadores emergentes que ofrecen ventajas en la detección temprana y la caracterización molecular del tumor. El futuro del diagnóstico del cáncer de mama podría beneficiarse de un enfoque combinado, utilizando tanto biomarcadores emergentes como convencionales para mejorar la precisión diagnóstica. Sin embargo, se requieren más estudios de validación en poblaciones diversas antes de su implementación clínica generalizada.
